Overview

Sunny reminds you to step outside when the sun appears. The app does not require an account and does not show ads. To provide weather-based reminders, Sunny may use your device’s approximate location (coarse location).

Data we process

• Approximate location (coarse latitude/longitude from your device) when you arm the app or when Sunny checks the forecast.
• Weather requests are sent to Open-Meteo at https://api.open-meteo.com/v1/forecast using your approximate coordinates to retrieve local conditions.
• No personal identifiers (no name, email, user ID) and no app accounts.
• On-device only storage for runtime state (e.g., countdown). Sunny does not maintain cloud databases for your data.

How we use the data

• To fetch the weather forecast for your area and trigger local reminders.
• Basic diagnostics may be available via the operating system or app store (e.g., crash information). Sunny does not implement analytics SDKs.

Sharing

Sunny shares your approximate location with Open-Meteo solely to obtain weather data. We do not sell personal data.

Security

Requests to Open-Meteo use HTTPS where supported. Keep your device updated for best security.

Retention

Sunny does not store your location history on our servers. Location is used transiently to request a forecast; state such as a countdown remains on the device.

Your choices

• You can deny location permission in system settings; Sunny will attempt to function with reduced accuracy.
• You can clear local app data or uninstall the app to remove on-device data.

Children

Sunny is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
